Support Free Healthcare Through Medical Equipment Donations

ACHN (ADAMS Compassionate Healthcare Network) has provided free, compassionate primary healthcare to uninsured and low-income individuals in Northern Virginia since 2013. Our ability to deliver quality care depends directly on having the right equipment — and every contribution, large or small, keeps that care available to those who need it most.
Our operations are sustained through a combination of grants, generous donors, and community volunteers. Equipment donations go directly to expanding our clinical capacity so we can serve more patients without ever sending them a bill.

Why Equipment Matters at a Free Clinic

ACHN operates as a safety-net clinic for the uninsured and underserved communities of Northern Virginia. Unlike hospital systems or federally qualified health centers that receive per-visit reimbursements, ACHN provides care entirely at no charge to the patient. That means ACHN relies on the generosity of our community — through grants, donations, and volunteers — to fund everything from exam tables to diagnostic machines.

Modern medical equipment allows our volunteer physicians, nurses, and staff to conduct thorough evaluations, run cardiac screenings, monitor vital signs, and provide care that would otherwise require an expensive specialist visit or emergency room trip. Without the right tools, our clinical team cannot fully serve the patients who depend on us.

Cardiac Diagnostics

EKG and echocardiogram capabilities allow us to catch heart conditions early, preventing costly hospitalizations for our most vulnerable patients.

Routine Vitals & Screening

Thermometers, weight scales, and blood pressure stations are the foundation of every primary care visit — essential even for basic screenings.

Expanded Capacity

Additional exam tables and lab chairs allow ACHN to see more patients per session,

Stress Testing

A treadmill stress test machine brings specialist-grade cardiology evaluation in-house, removing the need for costly outside referrals.

Medical Equipment Needed — Donate by Item

ACHN operates as a safety-net clinic for the uninsured and underserved communities of Northern Virginia. Unlike hospital systems or federally qualified health centers that receive per-visit reimbursements, ACHN provides care entirely at no charge to the patient. That means ACHN relies on the generosity of our community — through grants, donations, and volunteers — to fund everything from exam tables to diagnostic machines.

Each item below represents a specific equipment need at our Chantilly clinic. You can donate toward the full cost of a single item or contribute any amount to help reach the goal. Every dollar is applied directly to equipment procurement.

Exam Tables

Clinical-grade exam tables are the centerpiece of every patient room. Each table supports physical examinations, routine checkups, and in-office procedures. Adding exam tables directly increases how many patients ACHN can see per clinic day.
Donation Goal: $7,000 per table

Lab Chair with Arm Rest

Ergonomic lab chairs with arm rests are used for blood draws, IV placements, and laboratory procedures. A proper phlebotomy chair improves both patient safety and staff efficiency during diagnostic collection.
Donation Goal: $400 per chair

Diagnostics Wall Station (Blood Pressure & Vitals)

An integrated diagnostics wall station combines blood pressure monitoring and full vital signs assessment into a single, wall-mounted clinical unit. Essential for rapid, accurate intake evaluation at every patient visit.

Donation Goal: $10,400 per station

Thermometers / Temperature Check Devices

Accurate, clinical-grade thermometers are fundamental diagnostic tools used at every patient encounter. Reliable temperature measurement is especially important for identifying infections and febrile illness.
Donation Goal: $560 per set

Weight Scales

Medical-grade weight scales support BMI assessments, medication dosing calculations, and monitoring of chronic conditions such as heart failure, diabetes, and kidney disease — all common among ACHN’s uninsured patient population.
Donation Goal: $2,000 per scale

Philips Echocardiogram / EKG Machine

Cardiovascular disease is one of the leading health concerns among underserved populations. A Philips echocardiogram and EKG system allows ACHN physicians to perform in-house cardiac imaging and electrocardiography — services that would otherwise require expensive specialist referrals outside the clinic.
Donation Goal: $75,000

Treadmill Stress Test Machine

Exercise stress testing is a critical tool for evaluating chest pain, shortness of breath, and cardiac risk factors. Bringing this capability in-house means patients who cannot afford a cardiology consult can still receive a complete cardiovascular workup from ACHN’s volunteer medical team.
Donation Goal: $10,000

About Our Funding Model

ACHN is a grant-supported, community-funded nonprofit clinic. Our operations are made possible through a combination of healthcare grants, individual donors, corporate contributions, and a dedicated community of volunteers. While ACHN is not exclusively donor-funded, every individual gift — whether to equipment, patient sponsorship, or the general fund — directly supplements our grant funding and expands what we can provide to patients.
